Picture this: the sun slowly rising, the world awakening, and there's you, taking charge of your day right from the get-go. The morning is a blank canvas, and how you paint it sets the tone for the rest of your day. Embracing a well-crafted morning routine can ignite your motivation, align your intentions, and propel you toward your goals with unwavering focus.
I discovered the true power of a morning routine through trial and error. It took intentional effort and time to find what worked best for me, but once I did, the results were staggering. Now, let me take you on a journey through my own morning routine and why it's the cornerstone of my success.
Stacking Wins from the Start
The first win of the day happens as soft music plays over my speaker to wake me, gently rocking me from my rest and bringing my awareness to the present. Following this, I immediately ensure I stay awake by sending down a few slow, large gulps of water after doing 20 push-ups (I calls them earth downs, makes me feel more impactful that way!). The blood flows, the energy rises, and I've already stolen some victories from the day. With this small ritual, I've set the stage for a cascade of wins to follow.
Next, I make my bed. It might seem like a simple chore, but by doing so, I create order and discipline in my life. I set the tone for a day filled with progress and consistency. It's a reminder that my journey towards personal growth and self-improvement starts with small wins stacked on top of each other.
This is just a glimpse of my morning routine, but it's the most crucial part. Before I've even reached the bathroom to "pay my morning water bill", I've stacked five wins: waking early, hydrating, getting my blood pumping, making my bed, and even doing a few pull-ups on the way to the bathroom! Each win fuels my motivation and empowers me to conquer the day ahead.
